Introduction
Digital footprint refers to the trail we leave behind when we use and interact digital resources. This can be posts, searches, purchases and any other action we take online. While some of this information is harmless, others who have ill intentions can use this information to take advantage of users. On the flip-side, anything we post is part of a permanent record. Knowing that this information can be accessed by employers, government and the general public should be considered when contributing online.
